    Welcome to the EHH!

We stand for excellent quality in research and teaching, high scientific standards and a clear value orientation.

Our research raises awareness of key societal challenges and develops solutions that strengthen social justice and enable participation. In teaching, we combine scientific strength with outstanding practical relevance and thus provide comprehensive qualifications for responsible action in complex fields of work in the social and health professions as well as community and religious education.

With our locations in southern and northern Hesse – in urban and rural areas – we also reflect the diversity of Hesse. This diversity of perspectives is what sets us apart and makes the EHH a strong partner for science, practice and society.

Together we are shaping the future – for Hesse and beyond.

    Study programs

    That's us :-)

    Personal & attentive

We value a personal atmosphere. You can expect small seminar groups, a manageable campus, and an excellent student-teacher ratio.

Your fellow students and lecturers will know you by name.

    Family-friendly & value-oriented

We are oriented towards families and care work. We support you in studying with children. We are certified by the Diakonie and the Protestant Church with the Protestant seal of approval for family orientation.

We live by our clear ethical orientation. It is about being aware that people always have resources that they can contribute to their own lives and to the community.

    Inclusive & health-promoting

We take responsibility for promoting and ensuring equal opportunities for all our students and enable them to study in special circumstances.

Our psychotherapeutic Counseling for students are kindly supported by the CARLS FOUNDATION, which has also endowed a professorship in psycho-oncology , and the Diakonie Hessen Foundation.
